TaMyya J is a gospel recording artist, syndicated radio host, wife, and mother based in Virginia whose life and ministry are devoted to keeping Jesus Christ at the center. Singing since the age of four, she first gained national recognition as a member of the youth gospel group “Praise,” earning first place at the renowned McDonald's Gospelfest held at Madison Square Garden.
TaMyya J traveled worldwide as the soprano background vocalist for the multi-Grammy Award-winning gospel duo Mary Mary for more than 6 years. Her independent album Suddenly received critical acclaim and industry recognition, while hit singles such as “More Than You’ll Ever Know” and “GOD’s Got My Back” reached No. 1 on radio stations across the country and gained strong momentum on the Billboard National Airplay charting top 30. Her single “Heavenly” reached #1 on Billboard's Gospel Airplay.
In addition to her music career, TaMyya J is the host of the nationally and internationally syndicated radio show Never Missed a Beat, airing on more than 50 stations worldwide. She also serves as Director of Worship & Arts at Calvary Revival Church, where she is passionate about cultivating excellence in worship and developing ministry through the arts.
Her impact in gospel music and media has earned her multiple honors, including winners of the Avidity Awards, Image Awards, Rhythm of Gospel Awards as Female Artist of the Year, and the Spin Awards, where she was recognized for Radio Show of the Year, along with nominations for several other industry achievements.
Beyond the stage and radio airwaves, TaMyya J actively supports organizations such as No Kid Hungry and Don't Be A Bully Foundation, reflecting her belief that faith should be demonstrated through service, compassion, and action.
