ABOUT TAMYYA J
TaMyya J is a dynamic Gospel recording artist, worship leader, radio host, wife, mother, and minister of music whose life and ministry are centered on one message: putting Jesus first.
A gifted vocalist and communicator, TaMyya began singing at just four years old. Her journey has taken her from the church to major stages, national radio, and international audiences.
As a young vocalist, TaMyya became a Youth Division winner at McDonald’s Gospelfest at Madison Square Garden with the youth group Praise. She later toured as a soprano background vocalist for Mary Mary, gaining valuable experience performing alongside some of Gospel music’s most influential artists.
Her solo ministry continued to grow with the release of her independent album Suddenly, which received critical acclaim and award recognition. Her music has continued to make an impact at radio, with singles including “More Than You’ll Ever Know” and “GOD’s Got My Back” reaching #1 at radio stations nationwide.
